Massimo's Tips - Water Coolers

  • Correctly adjusting the thermostat is important. If it is kept at maximum (value 7), the water inside the coil may freeze;
  • Check the mains pressure. The correct value is about 3.5 atmospheres (or BAR);
  • If the pressure value is higher, install a pressure regulator;
  • It is a good idea to check if there are pressure surges (water hammer) in the water line. If so, install a water hammer arrester;
  • It is recommended to "sanitize" the water circuit at least once a year;
  • "Sanitization" is done by circulating a disinfectant liquid, usually based on citric or peracetic acid, inside the water circuit of the machine;
  • It is a good idea to equip the water coolers with a filtration system. Micro-filtration is usually used;
  • For WG models (sparkling water), it is a good idea to avoid installing the machine on a water line that also has other large uses. Washing machines, dishwashers or multiple taps. The carbonation pump requires large quantities of water;
  • The correct pressure for optimum carbonation is about 3 bar. It can be adjusted using the screw on the pressure regulator.
