Useful Tips for Pool Filters and Pumps
Massimo's Tips - Pool Filters and Pumps
- The filter and pump must "travel together". The filter flow rate (cubic meters per hour) must be equal to or greater than that of the pump.
- If you have a salt electrolysis sterilizer system, check its compatibility.
- With all cartridge filters, the use of biguanides, flocculants and quaternary ammonium salt algaecides is prohibited - due to incompatibility!
- When loading the filter with filter media, add water before the filter media, enough to cover the underlying candles by about 10/15 centimeters (this only applies to sand, glass and zelbrite filters)
- The pump consumption is obtained by multiplying the power (the installed KW) by the number of hours the pump is running;
- How many hours can the pumps run? All the pumps we sell are suitable for continuous operation (24H/24H);
- If the pump power is expressed in HP, how do I do it? The conversion factor between KW and HP is this: 1HP= 0, 735499 KW.
