Useful Tips for Pool Robots
- If you have a diving board, Roman steps or any unevenness in the pool, you need a cleaner that cleans the bottom and walls.
- A cleaner that only cleans the bottom (i.e. flat surface) is NOT suitable if you have a diving board, Roman steps or any unevenness in the pool.
- When the cleaner is out of the water, always leave it on the trolley to avoid damaging the brushes.
- When the cleaner is out of the water, keep it in the shade. Avoid leaving the robot and the transformer in the sun.
- When removing the cleaner from the pool, avoid pulling it by the cable. Use the mud vacuum pole to help you.
- For fiberglass pools, it is strongly recommended to install Kanebo brushes. Even with this type of brush, it is very likely that the cleaner (if it is a bottom and wall model) will not be able to climb up the wall, especially if the water values are not optimal.
- If the cleaner is equipped with Kanebo brushes (for mosaics or ceramic tiles), for the winter season moisten the brushes with a low-acidity solution and cover with a plastic film. This will prevent them from drying out and being damaged.
- If the cleaner "works for a while then stops" you can do these tests: run the robot without a bag/cartridges. If it works fine, it is very likely that you need to replace the filter bag or cartridges.
